New Year’s Resolutions, China-Style.

Standard

It’s cold here now.

I mean really cold. The kind of cold that you feel if you aren’t wearing at least 3  layers under your outerwear, with the wind whipping through and making you wonder what possessed you to leave the house and buy crazy luxury items like milk, bread, produce….especially when the smart ones have a whole winter’s supply of dried leeks and pickled cabbage stored right outside their apartment window.

So if you’re from Northeast China, that means you keep on keepin’ on.

Tai Chi diehards just bundle up, put on a multi-purpose face mask and get out there every day just the same.

I have no excuse for not initiating my postpartum exercise regimen.

Plus, the leek-and-pickled cabbage diet would make me really super skinny in no time flat.
