Especially after one has spent the last month in the tropical bliss called Thailand.
I think I have recovered from the extreme stress of January thanks to the mental health benefits gained from dressing kids in swimsuits every day instead of 3 layers of clothing, an electronics fast (thanks to technology failure), and not cooking or doing dishes once.
Plus, of course, the intangible and incomparable bliss of eating Thai food every single day.
Green curry, red curry, yellow curry, massaman curry, pad thai, spring rolls, coconut chicken hot and sour soup…
And we cannot forget mangoes with coconut sticky rice.
That would be wrong.
It was not all a vacation, of course.
We had some conference things going on, with activities for every age.
By the end of the trip, the kids wanted to move to Thailand.
I was inclined to agree…
